Product Overview
Baffle filters are the fire-safety heart of a commercial exhaust hood: their staggered stainless channels force grease-laden air to change direction repeatedly, throwing oil droplets onto the metal by inertia before the air reaches the duct — where grease deposits are the leading cause of restaurant duct fires. Fiber-laser cutting followed by CNC press-brake forming gives the slot accuracy and channel consistency the separation mechanism depends on, in either 304 (corrosive, high-humidity kitchens) or lower-cost 430. Filters are dimensioned to the hood opening — thickness, width, height, handles and latch styles all vary by hood maker — and must be specified with drain orientation correct so extracted grease runs to the trough, not the floor. In US-facing projects the design context is NFPA 96 grease-removal-device practice; final listings and approvals rest with the complete hood system, so filter drawings should be coordinated with the hood manufacturer’s certification.
OEM & Customization Capabilities
- Per-Hood Dimensions – width, height, thickness, drain orientation and handle/latch layout from drawings or samples.
- Material Choice – 304 vs 430 with a cost/corrosion trade-off matrix.
- Batch Consistency – forming fixtures maintained per design for repeatable channel geometry across reorder lots.
Industry Applications
- Commercial Kitchen Metalwork
- Ventilation & Fire Safety
