Product Overview
At the 5000 lb per-caster class, casters stop being furniture hardware and become structural components for die carts, machine skids, aerospace tooling and gantry trolleys. Forged steel wheels carry the load on the smallest footprint but demand respect for the floor — they are specified where capacity dominates and floor protection is secondary. The swivel rig matters as much as the wheel: double-ball raceways handle general swiveling duty, while kingpinless designs with a forged center kingpin and larger raceway diameter survive the repeated shock loads of tow-line and automated-guided operation without developing the “lean” that writes off standard rigs. Load ratings assume low walking speeds over reasonably smooth concrete; impact factors, towing speed and floor gaps should be reviewed against the manufacturer’s derating guidance before final sizing.
OEM & Customization Capabilities
- Duty Matching – raceway type, bearing and brake package selected per impact and towing profile.
- Wheel Profiles – V-groove track wheels and flanged wheels for guided rail systems.
- Surface Protection – floor-friendly tread options (polyurethane band) where loads allow capacity trade-offs.
Industry Applications
- Heavy-Duty Casters
- Industrial Material Handling
