Hydraulic Cylinders Marine & Offshore

Marine-Grade Epoxy-Coated Hydraulic Cylinders

Marine hydraulic cylinders from Chinese manufacturers: multi-layer epoxy external protection, stainless or coated rods, sealed ports and breathers for deck machinery, winches and hatch covers in seawater exposure.

Corrosion Protection:
Multi-layer marine epoxy paint system over prepared surfaces; DFT per coating spec
Rod Protection:
Hard-chrome or alternative rod coatings; rod boots/bellows optional
Internals:
Seal compounds selected against seawater splash and marine atmosphere

Product Overview

Seawater destroys hydraulic cylinders from both sides: it corrodes the tube exterior and paint film, and — worse — a breather drawing damp salt air into the reservoir side contaminates the whole hydraulic system. Marine-duty cylinders therefore specify a protection stack rather than a single feature: multi-layer marine epoxy over blast-cleaned steel, protected rod surfaces with optional bellows, seal compounds tolerant of splash exposure, and filtered or desiccant breathers sealing the fluid side. Internal corrosion matters as much as external: cylinders that rest extended in humid air for long periods need internal coatings or oil-side protection agreed at specification time. Manufacturers listed here build welded and tie-rod cylinders to class-society-adjacent practice for deck machinery, hatch covers, winches and steering, with coating DFT records, salt-spray test reports on the paint system and pressure/functional testing per unit as standard documentation.

OEM & Customization Capabilities

  • Coating Systems – paint specification and DFT matched to service zone (splash zone vs sheltered).
  • Fluid-Side Sealing – breather, wiper and seal package engineered as one contamination-control system.
  • Test Documentation – pressure, leak and functional tests per unit with traceable serial records.

Industry Applications

  • Hydraulic Cylinders
  • Marine & Offshore
