Product Overview
Furniture actuators live in rooms, not factories — so their defining specification is noise. Quality low-noise designs target roughly under 45 dB at one meter through gear-geometry optimization, damping and slow start/stop ramps, but the number is configuration-dependent and should be verified on the actual configuration with a stated test method rather than inherited from a brochure. The second furniture-specific requirement is synchronization: a sit-stand desk with two lifting columns drifts visibly if the drives run open-loop, so Hall-sensor feedback keeps paired columns within a millimeter or two across the stroke. Anti-collision detection (current spike or Hall-feedback monitoring) stops descent onto obstacles — increasingly a compliance expectation for adjustable desks and beds. Manufacturers listed here supply actuator-plus-control-box sets certified as systems, with handset and app interfaces, duty ratings matched to real furniture cycles (a desk cycles a handful of times a day), and OEM programs covering private-label control boxes and plug standards.
