Product Overview
Glow-in-the-dark epoxy work — river tables, bar tops, fishing lures, jewelry and decorative flooring — needs pigment grades chosen for casting rather than signage. Fine 15–75 µm particles settle less and leave a smooth surface after polishing; yellow-green strontium aluminate gives the brightest, longest afterglow (10+ hours for good grades), while blue-emitting silicate phosphors deliver the popular aqua/blue night look. Buyers should expect blue grades to look dimmer than green ones at equal energy output, simply because dark-adapted human vision is much less sensitive near 480 nm than near 520 nm — this is physiology, not a defect, and specifications should compare emission spectra rather than subjective brightness. In resin, typical craft loadings run around 10–30 wt% with mixing just before pour to limit settling; uncoated powder is fine inside sealed resin, while coated grades are recommended for water-clear topcoats applied over the glow layer. Manufacturers listed here supply both color families with mixing guidance and matched particle sizes for casting, coating and inlay work.
